Soft Edges of You
Soft Edges of You
A Poem
In the quiet spaces between breaths,
Where silence speaks louder than words,
You exist — a universe condensed
Into the warmth of your fingertips.
Your laugh, a melody that dances
Between spontaneity and grace,
Breaks through my carefully built walls
Like sunlight splitting morning’s embrace.
I’ve memorized the geography of your smile:
The way it begins at the corner of your lips,
How it spreads like wildfire across your cheeks,
Warming everything it touches — especially me.
You are not just a person, but a feeling:
A constellation of moments we’ve shared,
Fragments of conversations, stolen glances,
Midnight whispers and midday dreams.
When the world feels sharp and unyielding,
You are my soft landing, my quiet harbor.
Your love — not loud, but persistent,
Not dramatic, but deeply profound.
In you, I’ve found my most honest self:
Vulnerable, raw, beautifully imperfect,
Held not in judgment, but in understanding,
Loved not despite my edges, but because of them.
